It's National Sister Day, apparently. And what better way to celebrate than a blog post!! So let's start with some memories! How about we take a trip through photos, that's always pleasant.
Here we see one of my favorite pictures of Caite:
Caite is the one in the green striped shirt stabbing herself in the eye with her finger. This picture makes me laugh EVERY SINGLE TIME I see it. Then there's me (Meems) next to her and then Ashley next to me.
Here is one of my favorite pictures of Ashley:
This was taken as we were caving. We discussed what it looks like she's doing. Some say she's carrying a heavy box. Others say that she is "gangsta dancin". I say she looks like a gorilla. Again, I still laugh EVERY SINGLE TIME I see this picture.
So I've put together a compilation of groups of photos. We'll start here with pictures of Ashley and Caite:
Great, huh? :) Yeah, I'm going for embarrassing here. I love those two girls.
Here we see Ashley and I:
Again, these are just awesome.
Now we see Caite and I.
Oh, I just love us.
Now I'm going to embarrass us one at a time. So first is... Ashley!
Man, I love that girl. I like her second half, too, he's pretty funny. They're both just sooo goofy.... I'll put a confession here. Sometimes I go visit them just for the free entertainment.
Next is... Caite!
Oh gosh, she is hilarious. Sometimes she doesn't even know how funny and adorable she is. And sometimes she does ;) The last text message I got from her: "The weather man said there won't be any rain for 6 months, but I drought it."
And not to just pick on them, I put two of the cheesiest pictures of me I could find.
That first picture is one of the most ridiculed pictures of me on the internet. Also, I still stick with my story that her marshmallow was on fire and I was blowing it out, because it's true. I was.
And here we have all three of us:
Gosh, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I LOVE US.
It's true! I have the best sisters in the world! NOBODY ARGUE WITH ME, IT'S TRUE. I love my two sisters so much, it hurts sometimes. Sometimes I dream of a world where we all live in the same city again and party ALL the time. That would be heaven.
Happy National Sister Day!
-Meems
P.S. All is well on my end, CAITE AND ASHLEY PLEASE POST. Loves! <3

This Sister LOVES Halloween
Okay, so I know Halloween is still forever away.... But a good costume takes extensive planning. And as some of you know, I am slightly obsessed with the Avengers, so I was looking at costumes for Avengers, and was getting slightly disheartened by the fact that they're all either expensive, or in "sexy" form. I don't do sexy. For one, I'm LDS and have standards. For two, it don't work on me.
So I was searching costumes trying and failing to find modest costumes.... and I found this:
It's cute, no? Simple, gets the point across... and I'm pretty sure they stuffed her shirt, but whatever. You get it. So that picture is what started it all. I had some time on my hands this afternoon after finishing my laundry... so I put together some do it yourself costumes and I tried to use articles of clothing that I know between the sisters (okay, mainly Caite and I) already own, or articles of clothing that would be easy enough to find.
So here goes. Starting with the Avengers!
Here we see Captain America:
Allow me to highlight some of these costume features: a simple shirt with the Captain America logo, a belt that I love but I'm not sure how easy it would be to find, a pair of jeans (which all three sisters have, no sarcasm), a pair of shoes that I already own, and a DIY Captain America hat. I already have the yarn.
Here we have Thor:
Thor is very simple. The t-shirt is awesome, and the helmet you can get (I think) in the kids toys section at Walmart, or it could be omitted entirely. This costume features a pair of black skinny jeans (easy enough to get) and a pair of basic black boots. I know I have a similar style of boots, and I think Caite does too. You will see these same jeans and boots in many other costumes because oh yeah, there's LOTS more to come.
Here is Iron Man (or the costume, I guess):
I love this costume. That t-shirt is just plain AWESOME. I've already mentioned that I own the shoes, and here we see the pants again. The hat is pretty sweet too, and that ought to be easy enough to acquire.
Here is the Incredible Hulk! costume:
This costume is pretty plain, but you know, Bruce Banner doesn't wear much when he's the Hulk. I found a Hulk muscle shirt, the cliche purple shorts, black converses which I think Caite has, and a cute little Hulk hat that brings a smile to my face.
Here we have Hawkeye:
I like Hawkeye. I was just basically trying to bring together some basic elements, going back from the Avengers movie to the original Marvel Hawkeye. I found a basic t-shirt, a purple belt, and brought back the pants again and the boots. The purple headband I think is just plain adorable and could be omitted, or it could add just the right touch to the costume, in my opinion, since I couldn't find Hawkeye headgear of any kind, even though he doesn't have it in the movie. He does in the comic. Don't argue with me. I like it.
Here is one of my favorites, the Black Widow:
I found a pretty sweet Black Widow t-shirt that I might need to get whether or not it's used for Halloween, and brought back the black pants again. I thought it would be easy to find a belt but it's not, so we get a DIY Black Widow belt. The boots, however, are not the same as before, because I feel that the Black Widow needs some high heels. I seem to think Caite has a similar pair; if not, she ought to.
So that's it for the Avengers. But being a HISHE fan (not as much as Ashy and her husband) but a fan nonetheless, I just had to do a couple more...
"Shh... do you hear that? Is that the Justice League?" "....I don't hear anything." "Exactly!" "Ohhh! Captain America burn!"
So here we have.... dun dun dun DUUUN! THe Justice League!
Starting with Superman (not because he's better than Batman, but because I feel he just goes first):
This costume features a Superman shirt similar to one we have floating around... I left it behind when I went to college and Caite was supposed to go through all the clothes I left behind... I don't think I meant to leave that shirt behind, so Caite if you didn't reclaim it, I want it back if you still know where it is. I also included a basic pair of skinny blue jeans and a basic yellow belt, and I felt this costume needed some red boots that would be expensive and difficult to find, but I like them for this costume so shush it. I guess that, failing to find the boots, red Converses could be substituted.
Next we have BATMAN:
I picked the shirt because I think it's cute, and a Batman belt is necessary because he always has his utility belt. Here are the pants yet again, and a cute DIY hat like for Captain America. I chose the hat because should this costume be used for a church function, masks would not be allowed. However, I believe a Batman mask can be found in the kids toys section at Walmart. The shoes I chose specifically because I know Caite has a similar pair of awesome Batman shoes. I know she has a Batman hat too, but I chose this hat because it makes it more costume-like.
And lastly in the series of Meems costumes, we have Wonder Woman:
I think this one is also one of my favorites. This costume features a basic Wonder Woman shirt, the black pants again which could be substituted with the basic blue skinny jeans which I know Caite and I both own. This costume features a Wonder Woman accessories set, which I found online for roughly ten dollars. And black high heel boots, because Wonder Woman needs them.
I know the question on you mind now is what I've decided to be for Halloween. Or the question is on your mind now if it wasn't before, because I said it and made you think about it. Anyway, I think I would like to be Wonder Woman, or the Black Widow, although I'll probably be whatever I decide to be closer to Halloween. I just like to keep my options open for a while to give myself time to plan the best costume ever and show everyone else up.
I think Caite should be Batman. I suggested the Batman costume just for her.
Ashy and Dan should dress up this year and not be lame and they should do a couples costume because I love couples costumes. I decided last year that they should be Waldo and Wenda. They didn't do it, of course, so maybe they should go my DIY superhero route this year. Or they should dress up like this for Halloween:
Because it would be HILARIOUS. It really would. I would dress up like this for Halloween this year if I had someone to partner with, but alas, I'm still single as a Pringle.
So this post does two things.... describes what I've been up to today, and gives you an idea of what I've been up to lately. I don't get out much. I'll write another blog post later, and talk about other things then.
Thus concludes our two-month early Halloween special! (It's about two months because we have the rest of September and all of October... right?) Don't touch that dial, though, because one of the Sisters will soon follow with another post!

Update from the Our End of Town
Sooooo since no one has posted anything I decided I needed to!
We have survived the semester! I got A's and B's and a couple of C's, and Dan got all A's and B's. We're awesome. Now we're just hanging out around the house. Dan is the lead guy at work during the summer break and so he can pick most of his hours, which means lots of time spent with me! Mostly we've just played Minecraft. I'll be honest. Ok, to be super honest we were sick all last week (I mentioned this in another blog post on our family blog) and so all we really wanted to do was sit around the house playing Minecraft. I think it's way fun!
Besides trying to get myself to clean my house, Dan walked with me to the craft store in town one day and we picked up a board and a cool glass thing so I can finally use the vinyl quote things I bought over a year ago! I'll paint the board sometime soon. Also, Mom and Dad gave me a sewing machine for my birthday so I'm hopefully going to use it to make some skirts for church. There's a gal in my ward who knows how, and her hubby and my hubby get along so maybe I'll invite her over. And there's another gal in our ward who makes ridiculously tasty bread and she gave us all the recipe so I want to try making that too since Mom's bread recipe doesn't exist anymore. (Except for maybe that new recipe she was talking about..?)
Other than that, I'm not doing anything super fun or exciting. We're going to visit Mom and Dad at the end of August, so I'll hopefully get to see both of you sisters! Until that visit we're going to see Andrew and Julie on Wednesday, and hopefully go to Yellowstone and/or Jackson Hole sometime too. While I like playing Minecraft, I refuse to only do that for the next six weeks!
Hope to hear from you guys soon!

My Birthday!
It was my birthday this last weekend! It was so much fun! I was sad because Mom and Dad and KT and everyone else couldn't come up but Dan spoiled me.
I got to sleep in, and then we ate breakfast and walked around the park and then had lunch and I got a snow cone!! And then we went home and played games and then went shooting with Dan's new 22 and we shot up his spinners. I did awesome, as always.... Haha!
And then for dinner we went to a Thai restaraunt! It was tasty- I had fried rice and Dan had curry, and I've never had curry but wasn't brave enough to get it as a meal so I tried some of Dan's. It was kind of weird, I wasn't sure what to think of it! I wanted to like it but it was a little weird. He said it tastes better if they don't use coconut milk, so next time I get the chance to try coconut milk-less curry... But my fried rice was SO good!
Then we went to Wally World to try some of their skirt s because I can't think of the last time I bought myself skirts and we found one that was long enough and we both liked. And then we went to Coldstone and got the "gotta have it" size of ice cream! It was so yummy! And then we went home because we had school the next day..... yucky. I wish the day would never have ended!
Oh, and for my birthday Dan got me roses and a new mixer attachment, the one with the spatulas on it that I've been dying to have. That hasn't come yet, he didn't order it early enough but I'm so excited for when it does come!
And I had my standard yellow cake with chocolate frosting, too, and I didn't put too much milk in the frosting so it actually is desireable cake! And I learned that you can make frosting without the vanilla and it still tastes just as good. (We maybe sort of kinda need to go grocery shopping...)
Overall it was fabulous. I can't wait for Mom and Dad and the boys to come visit this Wednesday! I'm so so sososososososo excited!!
Happy Birthday to me!

Well, I'm alive too....
Alrighty.... Well I clearly haven't posted for a long time. Sorry about that. I've been pretty busy lately, for many reasons. I went to an amazing musical at school. Sweeney Todd. It was fantastic, and Erika and Matt Gaither both did AMAZING. Seriously. I was wowed beyond belief, and when Erika hit the high A above high C, I almost peed my pants. I even got goosebumps! It was great! And Matt was just silly, it was great.
School wise? Ick. I'm not doing well in algebra because my teacher refuses to teach, and trig is going ok, but I have to take both of those finals.... I'm gonna fail. As it is I'm already almost failing the classes themselves... Band is going dandy, have to take that inal too... Physics is going FANTASTIC! I'm very proud of myself. I currently have 104% in that class! :D so happy. U.S. History is goin alright... English is going great. Oops I gotta write my idiom paper.... Before tomorrow. I should get that done. You know, I shouldn't blog. I get too distracted too easily. The heck. Anyways.... As to what Emily was tryin to not tell anyone, my plans for next year? Well, I'm thinking about starting my Associates in Applied Sciences in Collision Repair at WDT next spring, after first semester of high school. That equals about 67 credit hours that are mostly hands on, in the shop. I'm pretty excited.
I'm still looking for a job, for the summer and for next school year both. It's not going so well. Poopy. Having a good source of income would be wonderful. However I don't know if it's going to happen at this rate. Finals are this week, as well as epiphanies. Epiphanies are, for all you that don't know, the rewards ceremony for the drama people at Central. It means I get to look pretty in a fancy dress and sit down for a long time! And eat good food! But that's that.
Anyways, I don't know what else to say right now. So.... Love you all! Toodles! -Caite

Sun, Moon, and Stars
First of all, I'm alive and well in Colorado/Wyoming. I add the slash because the ranch I'm at sits right on the border, so we're riding along and I'm never quite sure where the line is and what state I'm in. Second of all, this post is inspired by the occasional look back at our lives.
Whenever I meet someone that doesn't know my family, just me, and I talk about my sisters, I always compare us to the sun, the moon, and the stars. We're all so very different from each other, and yet we get along and each shine in our own different ways. We also have our own times to shine and we're all so gorgeous!
As I was talking to my little sister on the phone yesterday (sorry, Ash, I ran out of time before I had the chance to call you), I thought about how the three of us have taken our separate ways, and they're all very different from each other. Ashley's off in Idaho, married and working on being an artsy person, with her music degree and all. I'm off in the middle of nowhere on a cattle ranch, getting down in the dirt and playing with the pigs and the horses and the cows, still not 100 percent sure on what I'm going to do with my life when I go back to Utah to college. And Caite is planning on graduating high school and going to the local tech school, and going somewhere with her life that allows her to do hands-on things, I won't say exactly what cause I'll leave that to her ;).
And yet, we can be very similar. All of us are optimistic for the future, strong in the gospel, love our family, and happy with where we are in life, or if we're not, we get there. I can honestly say that I am so proud of my family for choosing good paths in their lives and with how we get along. I'm just proud as a peacock of my two lovely sisters, as well as my three brothers. And I know my sisters will agree that we all have the best parents in the world!
As for how I'm doing on the ranch, I might start a new blog for that. I've got some pretty great stories. But then again, I might not.... I have a hard time remembering to blog.
Ashley and Caite, post on here soon! If I can do it, so can you!
